Raiders ship OT Trent Brown to the Patriots | Trent Brown restructured his contract
Trent Brown will be a New England Patriot!
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media Insiders, The New England Patriots will be acquiring offensive tackle Trent Brown from the Las Vegas Raiders.
The two teams swapped late round draft picks in 2022 for the massive offensive lineman. Brown agreed to a restructured one-year contract worth up to $11 million dollars.
Brown is just 27 years of age and he was on the Patriots back in 2018. He started every game and helped lead the Patriots to the Super Bowl. The Raiders signed him to a massive 4 year deal worth 66 million dollars in 2019.
Brown is a 6’8, 380 pound offensive tackle that appeared in 16 games in the last two years for the Raiders.
It will be interesting to see how he does the for the Patriots but for this price the Patriots win this trade.
I have one question though, who is going to block for Derek Carr?
The Raiders have already cut Gabe Jackson and Richie Incognito. Now they trade his left tackle? Jeez, I feel bad for Josh Jacobs and Derek Carr. Life is going to be more difficult moving forward.
