Former Oklahoma University football player Marquis Anderson shot and killed by his HS football teammate

Marquis Anderson Oklahome Shot and killed
Former Oklahoma Sooner defensive lineman Marquis Anderson was shot and killed in texas by his former high school teammate Matt Goetz.

Marquis Anderson had a solid career at Oklahoma University as a defensive end. The former pass rusher was just 28 years old when he was shot and killed Wednesday night in Texas.

The crazy part of the story is his former high school teammate and friend Matthew Goetz is the person that shot him. Goetz is now facing manslaughter in connection with the shooting.

“Goetz told investigators he and Anderson were old friends and that they had been drinking,” the report states. “He didn’t go into detail about what happened, though.

A Go Fund Me was set up for Marquis family and has already hit 20k dollars. The creator of the Go Fund Me put this in the description.

Marquis was always the person to go out of his way to put a smile on anyone’s face. He loved to make others laugh, and was such a genuinely loving person.  He held a special place in the hearts of anyone that had the pleasure to meet him, it made you feel blessed to have met him. He will truly be missed.
We are all devastated by this loss, but hopefully, we can find comfort knowing that he is looking down and smiling his goofy grin on all of us.

Please consider donating to help with the unforeseen expenses of his passing in order to ease the pain/grief of his loved ones.

A former four-star recruit out of Steele High School in Cibolo, Texas, Anderson signed with the Sooners in the 2011 class.

Matt Goetz was no slouch either. Goetz signed with Texas Tech out of high school and later played for Mike Leach at Washington State. This is such a horrible situation.
