Right now, people are starting to talk about you quite a bit after your Senior Bowl performance. Do you feel you are an underdog?

  • I would not consider myself an underdog. I feel I am shedding more light on myself as a prospect.

What is one thing that NFL teams should know about D’Ante Smith?

  • Competing drives me. I love to compete.

If you could donate to one cause in the world, what would it be? 

  • Alzheimers Disease – My grandfather had Alzheirs Disease and he was a big part of my childhood.

Who was your childhood hero? 

  • My grandfather was my hero because he took care of a lot of people in my neighborhood, and was always a standup guy, and whenever anyone ever needed anything he was always there.

Who is the most underrated teammate in your locker room at East Carolina? 

  • Noah Henderson – He has went through quite a bit of adversity, but constantly battles to get back on top.

What is your biggest pet peeve? 

  • When people smack their mouth when they chew

Overcoming adversity is what defines character, what was the hardest moment in your life to overcome? 

  • Injury from my freshman year. Coming into college, it challenged me mentally, but I was able to overcome it.

Tell me something about East Carolina University and why it is so special to you?

  • East Carolina is special to me because it allowed me to find myself and help me grow into a man.

What is your favorite snack food? 

  • Uncrustables – The Strawberry One!

The NFL Draft is quickly approaching, If you could sell yourself in one sentence what would you say? 

  • I am constantly working to perfect my craft.

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be? 

  • Laremy Tunsil – I watch a lot of his film. I try to pick up on things from him, and he is easily my favorite to watch.

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would it be and why?

  • My grandparents and my Mother, just so we can have that moment one more time.
