South Alabama star running back Carlos Davis arrested for drug trafficking
Carlos Davis was an honorable mention in the Sun Belt last year after rushing for 674 yards and scoring three times. The versatile back could also catch the ball out the backfield hauling in 11 recptions for 104 yards.
The redshirt sophomore’s career though is likely coming to a halt.
Davis was arrested and is now indefinitely suspended by the team. Davis was arrested for trafficking marijuana and use/possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to Mobile Police Department, police arrived on campus when they heard shots fired.
They responded to Campus Quarters, 112 University Boulevard and were directed to an apartment and made contact with Carlos Davis. They found marijuana during the search. According to the report, police found a bookbag that contained Davis’ ID and weed.
The 22 year old running back will be in court soon to hear the charges.
