Former college football player Alkiohn Dunkins charged with killing and lighting a Pennsylvania teenager on fire

In high school Alkiohn Dunkins was one of the most talented players for Freedom High. He would end up continuing his career at Moravian College. Now he could be facing the death penalty.

Alkiohn Dunkins becomes the third person arrested for the brutal murder of a Pennsylvania teenager.

Dunkins was a former football player at Moravian College. He is now being charged in a horrific murder case.

This is one of the hardest cases you will read. Tyrell Holmes was stabbed to death outside the Parkhurst Apartments in 2018 in Behlehem, Pennsylvania. That was not the worst part, his body was set on fire and his burning body was found the next morning. Police believe he was stabbed and set on fire while still alive.

Alkiohn Dunkins is charged with homicide, conspiracy, arson, aggravated arson, kidnapping, and possession of instruments of crime.

The three suspects are allegedly part of the Money Rules Everything gang. The police report says that someone called the police to report a mannequin was on fire. But when police arrived they realized it was a person. The Northampton County coroner pronounced Holmes dead at the scene and later ruled that he died from smoke inhalation, burns and stab wounds.

I am not sure what Dunkins was thinking. He was a very talented football player, but he allowed the people around him to influence him to lose everything.

Our hearts go out to the Holmes family. We are so sorry about your loss. Please keep the family in our prayers.
