Urban Meyer reportedly a strong candidate for Jaguars HC position
By: NFLHeads
Urban Meyer, assistant athletics director and former head coach of Ohio State, looks like the frontrunner to win the Jaguars head coaching job. Meyer has had a very long history in college football, as a head coach Meyer has served with Bowling Green (2001-2002), Utah (2003-2004), Florida (2005-2010), and finally at Ohio State (2012-2018).
Meyer has had a very impressive resume in his coaching career, leading his teams to three national championships, three Big Ten championships, two SEC championships, two Mountain West championships, let the Big Ten East Division five times (in five consecutive season), has been in the Big Ten leaders division twice, and 3 SEC Eastern Division championships. Meyer has an overall record of 187-32 as a head coach, 12-3 in bowls, and 2-1 in tournaments in the CFP.
The hope is that Meyer can bring success, which is a rarity in Jacksonville, to the organization and can amass a lot of great seasons to come with quarterback of the future Trevor Lawrence.
Meyer will come very pricy per his request, but the opportunity seems to have a very big chance at turning out well.
