Bloomsburg starting fullback Tyler Horst was killed this weekend in a car accident. He was just 22 years of age.

Tyler Horst was a beast for Bloomsburg University. The 6’2, 225 pound fullback from Schaefferstown, Pennsylvania has played the past two years and was great at protecting his quarterback and opening holes for the Huskies running backs.

Horst had played in 18 career games for Bloomsburg University. It is with great sadness that we have to report that Tyler was killed in a car accident that happened on Saturday.

Tyler was just 22 years old.

Bloomsburg Athletic Director Michael McFarland posted this quote:

“We are devastated by the loss of Tyler, Tyler was a wonderful young man who embodied all the great elements of what it means to be part of the Husky family. He was a terrific leader for the program – both on- and off-the-field – and my heartfelt condolences go out to his family and his friends. Our thoughts are with the football team, its players and coaches, and all of our student-athletes and staff who had the privilege of knowing Tyler.”

Horst was a smart kid as well. He had a 3.34 GPA and was on the Dean’s List for three straight years.

We at NFL Draft Diamonds would like to offer our condolences to the family, friends and teammates of Tyler’s.
