Raheem Morris hired as Rams’ defensive coordinator

Former Atlanta Falcons’ interim head coach Raheem Morris has been hired as the new defensive coordinator of the Los Angeles Rams.
Morris has had a long, interesting career in the NFL, often working with some of the best defenses in the NFL. Morris started out in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in various defensive positions from 2002-2005.
Morris then coached at the collegiate level for a year, before returning to the Bucs in the 2007 season as a defensive backs coach. In a surprising move in the 2009 season, Jon Gruden was fired by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and was hired as the head coach. Despite having one ten win season, Morris was a terrible fit in Tampa, and was fired after three unimpressive seasons.
Morris then worked on the Redskins staff as a defensive backs coach for two seasons before finally joining the Atlanta Falcons. Morris has been VITAL to the Falcons having any success, being basically the assistant head coach or interim head coach most of the time.
I do not know how the Falcons just let Morris slip through their fingers, but nonetheless he did, and I believe he will do magnificently as the Rams’ defensive coordinator.
