Three teams that should make a trade for Lions QB Matthew Stafford

Matthew Stafford Fantasy Sleepers Week 6
Matthew Stafford will more than likely end up on a new team in 2020. He is too talented not to land the Lions some good draft capital.

There are many rumors that Matthew Stafford and the Lions are getting close to a break-up. The Lions are expected to move in a different direction and the former UGA gunslinger will be looking for a new home.

There have been several teams that reportedly contacted the Lions in regards to his services. The wild thing is he can be used on quite a bit of teams. I wanted to look at three landing spots that would make sense for the veteran quarterback.

1.) Indianapolis Colts – Everyone knows the Colts are in a quarterback nightmare. Philip Rivers has retired, and Jacoby Brissett is a free agent. The Colts have tons of cap space and are not afraid to trade their first round picks. They proved that by adding DeForrest Buckner. I could see the Colts pulling the trigger to land Stafford, who would be awesome with Frank Reich.

2.) Washington Football Team – Washington did a great job this year with Alex Smith and former first round pick Dwayne Haskins. Could you imagine if they could land Stafford? If Washington could land Stafford they would immediately improve. Ron Rivera had the WFT in the playoffs this year and I feel he could do it again with a solid vet like Stafford.

3.) Houston Texans – I mean shoot at this point, the Texans maybe looking for a veteran quarterback. Deshaun Watson wants out and they do not have a first round pick. The Texans could be hit if they do not find an option at quarterback. Right now I would not be surprised if the Texans did in fact sign a veteran this year, because their situation sucks.
