10 insane NFL Trade Predictions for the 2021 NFL Off-season

Ezekiel Elliott traded Seahawks
Could the Dallas Cowboys end up trading running back Ezekiel Elliott and go with the young Tony Pollard?

I know the 2020 season is still going on for some teams, but let’s face it many fanbases are ready to begin talking about the draft process. With many teams already out of the playoffs, I wanted to talk about 10 trades that could change things up in the NFL. Several players will be dealt in the off-season it happens every year, so let’s have some fun and hypothetically trade some players.

Patriots trade Stephon Gilmore to the Denver Broncos for a 2nd round pick -The Denver Broncos have a solid team but they struggle in the secondary. They have went through a rack of cornerbacks this year and adding a Pro Bowl caliber lockdown like Gilmore makes too much sense. The Broncos need to build the defense more starting in the secondary.

Eagles trade Carson Wentz to the Indianapolis Colts for 3rd and 5th in the 2021 NFL Draft – The Indianapolis Colts are likely to miss the playoffs after winning 11 games. They are the team that is the most likely to be on the outside looking in. Phillip Rivers is old, and Frank Reich knows Carson Wentz well. With his cap the Eagles will not get more than a 3rd and a 5th. So Colts pull the trigger to land their future QB.

Patriots trade their first round pick in 2021 to the Falcons for Matt Ryan – The Falcons have a top 5 pick and this is a good year to draft a quarterback. Matt Ryan has been a great quarterback for the Falcons but this team is too good not to be winning big games. Patriots need a quarterback and if they go quarterback in round 1 they are going to struggle with a rookie. Belichick does not have time to be struggling.

Falcons trade Julio Jones to the New York Giants for a 2nd and 6th round pick in 2021 – The New York Giants land one of the best wide receivers in the NFL. They finally get Daniel Jones a little help. They see the way the Bills made a trade for Stefon Diggs and it transformed their team. The Giants get a solid player and the Falcons land more draft capital.

Lions trade Matthew Stafford to the Washington Football Team for a 2nd round pick in 2021 – The Washington Football Team could have easily won the NFC East if they had a consistent quarterback. Stafford is better than Alex Smith and more consistent. The new regime in Detroit wants their own guy and trade away their best quarterback ever.

Eagles trade TE Zach Ertz to the Jacksonville Jaguars for a 3rd round pick in 2021 – Yep, the Jaguars land Trevor Lawrence a security blanket. They already have several solid players in DJ Chark and James Robinson but they need to add a solid tight end that can spread the field. This helps out a young quarterback and they land their man on the cheap.

Texans trade J.J. Watt to the Steelers for JuJu Smith Schuster – This is a wild trade, but both players getting traded could help them out in their careers. Mike Tomlin had to have a discussion already with JuJu about his dancing on logos, and he also said he would take every Watt on his roster he could get. Well, here you go, a very solid trade that makes both teams happy.

Browns trade WR Odell Beckham Jr to the Eagles for a 3rd round pick in 2021 – Yep, you are reading that right, the Cleveland Browns are a better team without Odell Beckham Jr. and the Eagles need some big time wide outs. OBJ to the Eagles makes too much sense, because Hurts needs some targets.

Cowboys trade RB Ezekiel Elliott to the Seattle Seahawks for 2nd pick in 2021 – The Seahawks have a bunch of running backs that cannot stay healthy and they do not have a workhorse. If the Seahawks had a bell-cow running back like Zeke they could win the NFC West with no problem. The Cowboys are learning they can do it with Tony Pollard.

Jaguars trade QB Gardner Minshew to the Pittsburgh Steelers for a 4th round pick – Steelers need a quarterback to back-up Big Ben and Minshew can bring some solid competition and depth to the Steelers quarterback room. You have to love the guys swag, but the Jaguars let him go to give Trevor Lawrence total control.
