Chargers QB Justin Herbert is pulling away with Offensive Rookie of the Year
Justin Herbert is playing lights out right now. He just walked away with his second straight Offensive Rookie of the Month award. The Chargers are not winning but they are in great hands with rookie Justin Herbert.
The game has slowed down for Herbert. He is seeing things that many veteran quarterbacks struggle with.
Herbert was 145-of-218 for 1,473 yards, 11 touchdowns, and four interceptions over the last five weeks.
Herbert is pulling away with the Offensive Rookie of the Year award. The only other person I think that could compete with Herbert at this point is James Robinson in the AFC. I know Justin Jefferson is ballin too right now, but Herbert continues to tear it up.
Herbert has already thrown 23 touchdown passes this season, in just 10 games. That’s an unprecedented pace for a rookie quarterback. He is on pace to break the record.
The current rookie record is 27 touchdown passes, set by Baker Mayfield in 2018.
