Josh Gordon did not satisfy all the terms of his reinstatement, he had another setback
When is it enough? I know substance abuse is real, but there has to be an accountability factor as well. The NFL announced earlier this week that Josh Gordon has been reinstated by league, but now a story is coming out saying he has not satisfied all the terms and conditiions of the agreement.
The NFL has to do something. If Josh Gordon cannot get the help he deserves and does not want to change, then why are we continuing to allow him to make mistakes? Other players around the league do not have make as large of a mistake, but they are blackballed from the league.
When does the NFLPA or the Union step in and try to get the kid some real help. They are there for him the player right?
Tom Pelissero stated that Josh Gordon had a setback in his battle with substance abuse, which is why he cannot join the team.
Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times is reporting that Gordon can still attend team meeting and individual workouts, but he cannot participate in team practices or games.
Gordon has missed years in his career from the same substance abuse issues. After a while, the player has to take some damn accountablity, because if this was any other player they would have never got the shot he has.
