49ers coach says George Kittle could come back soon if they are playing meaningful games
The San Francisco 49ers are in last place right now in the NFC West, but are only three games out technically. They will be faced with some adversity though. They are not allowed to play in their own facility over the next few games, but will be playing in Arizona for their home game.
The 49ers are crushed by injuries right now and when Head coach Kyle Shanahan was asked about George Kittle, Jimmy Garoppolo and Ben Garland, all whom are on injured reserve, Shanahan provided a good update. Shanahan said if we are playing meaningful games all three of the players could return this year.
“All those guys, whether it’s Jimmy, whether it’s Kittle, Ben Garland, I’d probably put just a little bit ahead of them, if I had to say, but all those guys have a chance to come back and help us,” Shanahan told reporters via video conference. “We’ve just got to take care of business here in these next few weeks to give them a reason.”
Kittle fractured his foot in Week 7, and was given an eight-week timeline, but our Fantasy Doctor Jesse Morse said the injury may not take 8 weeks to recover. Dr. Morse also said though that if the team is not playing a meaningful game, then why risk your star tight end to get hurt worse.
However, if San Francisco is in the hunt, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them fit Kittle back into the fold, which could be huge.
