North Little Rock officers responded to a shots fired call near the McCain Mall, and when they arrived they found a car that had been involved in a single-vehicle collision in the 4200 block of Warden Road. All three people in the car were suffering from gunshot wounds.
Unfortunately, Dailon Tyler, 18, of Little Rock died from injuries he suffered. The other two victims remain hospitalized.
Tyler was a 5’9 defensive back/wide receiver from Robinson High School and had a solid senior season. He had just created his senior season highlights hoping to get a look from colleges.
According to the police report and comments from Tyler’s mother Renalda Jones, two of her children were injured in the gunfire. She said her son’s last words to hher were, “Mama, come save me,” according to KTHV.
Joe Green, of the North Little Rock Police Department, said detectives will be working hard to solve the case.
