Could undefeated Coastal Carolina end up playing undefeated BYU this week instead of Liberty?

Coastal Carolina facing BYU could be the game of the week in the NCAA. Everything is still waiting on Liberty.

Could you imagine ESPN Gameday showing up to Coastal Carolina in Horry County to watch BYU instead of Liberty.

Pete Thamel is reporting that BYU and Coastal have spoken and there is a possibility that two of the three undefeated teams in the NCAA could be playing one another.

Coastal Carolina playing BYU is “a possibility” if the Liberty game is cancelled, a source told @YahooSports. Coastal Carolina doesn’t want to lose the ESPN GameDay spotlight. But Liberty has yet to cancel the game for Saturday. So everything is on hold for that.

Liberty’s starting quarterback tested positive for COVID-19 and will not be playing this week. So Liberty still has not canceled, but if they do BYU could be the game they take. This would be the game of the week.
