Former Baylor starting safety Chance Waz is dead at the age of 25
Pflugerville, Texas native Chance Waz who signed with the Baylor‘s 2014 recruiting class has passed away at the age of 25.
The school announced on Monday.
No cause of death has been released. Waz was a starting safety who played in 43 games from 2014-2017 and compiled 146 tackles, six PBU’s, and 2 tackles for loss.
Many of his former teammates expressed their grief on Twitter on Monday.
“No words will be able to explain the loss of a teammate, friend, family, brother in Christ,” former Baylor quarterback Seth Russell tweeted. “Chance always had a positive attitude towards life. Prayers are lifted high for the Waz family in this time of mourning and celebration of his life.”
