Fantasy Football: Week 11 Waiver Wire Report

Jameis Winston Saints
Saints QB Jameis Winston is a big-time player who will get to play the Falcons this week. He is a good player to start.

By Craig Forrestal

Fresh legs this time of the year makes the Zero RB gambler scream with joy. There are literally countless reasons as to why certain RBs are emerging but regardless of the reason let’s find out who might be in line for a big workload. Also, there are a couple of QBs that make the list this week but the biggest surprise is in the WR category. Oh, and also I never usually add defenses on the list so I’ll do it here. Add the LA Chargers they play the Jets this week. That is all. Now let us take a dive into the Week 11 Waiver Wire Report.

Week 11 Waiver Wire Report

  • Jameis Winston/ QB/ New Orleans Saints: Drew Brees has a collapsed lung and multiple fractured ribs needless to say he will be out a few weeks. Winston is the better QB option between him and Taysom Hill but this has some potential concerns. The biggest issue is Taysom Hill could be deployed in the red zone for any play imaginable limiting the TD upside for Winston. On the other hand, if you’re QB strapped then Winston is a decent option because of his starting experience and the weapons around him on this offense. 2 matchups with Atlanta and 1 with Denver over the next 3 weeks make Winston even harder to ignore even with Taysom Hill lingering. For the record, you will be hard-pressed to find a bigger fan of Jameis Winston than the person writing this article. I want Jameis to succeed so badly. I hope he has a Teddy Bridgewater like run and lands himself another opportunity as a full-time starter. Next 3: Falcons, @ Broncos and @ Falcons
  • Daniel Jones/ QB/ NY Giants: Kyler Murray, Lamar Jackson and Daniel Jones are the 3 leading rushers at the QB position this season. And yes, NFL Twitter and Draft Twitter love to knock Jones for his throwing at times but he’s going on bye and has a nice end of season schedule. Again if you can survive the bye and need a QB that adds a running dynamic, then Jones could be your dude. Bye, @ Bengals and @ Seahawks
  • Salvon Ahmed/ RB/ Miami Dolphins: Jordan Howard was inactive for the Week 10 matchup and was then released on Monday. Matt Breida is hurt. Myles Gaskin is hurt. Patrick Laird is Patrick Laird. And that is how we arrived at Salvon Ahmed. Ahmed handled 22 touches for 90 total yards and 1 TD. The Dolphins have a nearly ideal schedule the rest of the way. With his performance on Sunday and the injuries at RB, I’d expect at least one more week of The Salvon Ahmed Show. Next 3: @ Broncos, @ Jets and Bengals
  • Nyheim Hines/ RB/ Indianapolis Colts: How many times will we see this from Hines this season a monster game and then a game where he disappears to only bounce back with another monster game? Additionally, he looks like the best back on the Colts roster. His touch totals have ranged from 1-17 this season. The Colts RB situation is a headache but if you need a RB that has a favorable schedule and might take over the backfield, then bet on Hines. The Colts get the Packers next making Hines extremely appealing because another big day could be on the horizon. Next 3: Packers, Titans and @ Texans
  • Kalen Ballage/ RB/ LA Chargers: Troymaine Pope this and Troymaine Pope that. I was driving the hype train for Pope. I apologize because Kalen Ballage went out to Cali to ball out apparently. The unlikeliest of 2020 workhorse RBs recorded 23 touches on Sunday for 102 yards. Ballage is here to stay as long as Ekeler is out. Next 3: Jets, @ Bills and Patriots
  • Michael Pittman Jr/ WR/ Indianapolis Colts: 8 targets for 7 catches and 101 yards on a team with no clear cut WR1 and that makes you perk up. Pittman is the big-bodied WR we saw Philip Rivers lean on as a member of the Chargers. The Colts have a JV-like schedule from here on out and that could make Pittman extremely attractive. He clearly has the attention of Rivers. Next 3: Packers, Titans and @ Texans
  • Jalen Reagor/ WR/ Philadelphia Eagles: Reagor didn’t post astronomical numbers against the Giants only tallying 4 catches for 47 yards on 7 targets. He has now seen at least 6 targets in his 2 games back from injury. With matchups against Seattle and Cleveland in the near future grab him now if you need WR help. Next 3: @ Browns, Seahawks and @ Packers
  • Keelan Cole/ WR/ Jacksonville Jaguars: Punt return TDs are such a nice bonus. And against Green Bay, Cole had a receiving TD to go along with his return TD. He saw 7 targets bringing in 5 catches for 47 yards. He’s proven to be a reliable piece of this offense no matter who is at QB. Next 3: Steelers, Browns and @ Vikings
  • Josh Reynolds/ WR/ LA Rams: Josh Reynolds has more targets than Robert Woods since Week 4. Reynolds has 19 targets of 15+ air yards while Cooper Kupp and Woods each have 11. Reynolds led the Rams in all receiving categories Sunday, going 8 catches for 94 yards on 10 targets. Next 3: @ Buccaneers, 49ers and @ Cardinals
