Draft Buzz: Three more Draft Prospects who could help the Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles should take a look at these three NFL Draft Prospects in the upcoming NFL Draft. Draft Diamonds scout Jon-Michael Salter breaks down his love for the players above.

More than halfway through the 2020 NFL season, and to say it kindly, the Eagles are a mess. Injuries have smothered the team for the third year in a row. As well as a regression in franchise QB Carson Wentz, and Head Coach Doug Pederson, have all but sunk the birds. The media storm has begun brewing around the facility, and along with it the rumor mill. Even with all the bad, the Eagles do have a few bright spots and a little talent. Also, if they continue to lose they will have a few high drafts picks in the 2021 draft. With that said I looked around for three prospects who could help build this team, into the winner it once was.

1) CB Raleigh Texada, Baylor

Texada, has the tools to be an immediate upgrade on the Eagles back end. Blessed with good cover skills, the ability to play inside at the nickel, and outside on an island. He is a force in the run game, as he isn’t afraid to get his nose dirty. The Eagles, defense have been a little bit better on the backend in large part to CB Darius Slay. But the need for a legit running mate, is apparent and adding Texada, would be a great step towards that.

2) Edge Jeffrey Gunter, Coastal Carolina

The Eagles, need to get younger at most spots. Defensive end is one of those areas. Veteran Brandon Graham, has been one of the few bright spots this season. Adding a guy like Gunter, could be a huge get this offseason. He has that high end motor, that doesn’t stop. Capable of rushing the passer, and stopping the run, he adds true value. He can set the edge, while also setting the tone with his violent play. He is also a good locker room guy, and leader. The Birds are in need of that as well.

3) WR/ATH Justin Hall, Ball State

Justin Hall is a weapon on the offensive side of the ball. As well as special teams. A big play waiting to happen, all you need to do is get him the ball. Adding him to the offense would give Carson Wentz, another weapon, that could be a real match-up Nightmare. He can also give them a threat to score on kickoffs and punts. The birds are in need of a difference-maker, and Justin Hall has the skill set to be that guy.
