Penn State RB Journey Brown has to medically retire from football

Journey Brown Penn State RB Medically retired
Penn State running back Journey Brown has retired from football after being diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.

Penn State running back Journey Brown is considered a top running back in the 2021 NFL Draft, but that dream will no longer happen. Brown announced his medical retirement from football Wednesday.

Brown, a redshirt junior, said he has been diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, a disease that causes the heart muscle to become abnormally thick.

Penn State coach James Franklin said the condition was discovered during a COVID-19 test in September but was not related to the virus.

This is sucha a sad blow to Brown. He is such a talented player.
