Georgia High School football player DJ McDowell died after collapsing on the field
Freshman football player DJ McDowell succumbed to a cardiac condition at an Atlanta Children’s hospital according to his Go Fund Me page.
LaKisha Brooks the Go Fund Me Organizer posted this on the Go Fund Me Page yesterday.
Thanks for all who have donated and shared this campaign to assist the Humphries and McDowell family during this difficult time. They are overwhelmed by your generosity, support and prayers. Please continue to pray, donate and share with your family, friends, communities and on all social media platforms. Our hearts are heavy after learning that DJ’s physical fight ended yesterday. However, we know that he continues to live on spiritually and in everyone’s hearts and that he will be forever STRONG!!! Therefore, we are continuing to contend on his behalf and in his honor for his loving family so that they can focus on healing. We are still in need of donations that will assist them with making final arrangements and medical bills that will continue to come in. Thank you!!!
DJ played football at Veterans High School in Georgia. DJ collapsed at football practice earlier this month and needed to be transported to a children’s hospital in Atlanta.
The Freshman football player began trending on Twitter with the hashtag #DJStrong. Our team at NFL Draft Diamonds sends our prayers to DJ’s family and ask that if you can send a small donation please do so.
