Breaking: Chargers are working out P Lachlan Edwards, K Cole Tracy, and K JJ Molson
We are learning that the Los Angeles Chargers are expected to work out P Lachlan Edwards, and kicker Cole Tracy and JJ Molson this week.
JJ Molson is a Canadian kicker who played at UCLA. He recorded touchbacks on 53 of his 61 kickoffs for 87%. His total of 51 career field goals ranks tied for sixth on the all-time school list. He is pretty accurate, he made 90 straight extra-point attempts to conclude his career as a Bruin.
Lachlan Edwards was drafted by the New York Jets in the seventh round (235th overall) in the 2016 NFL Draft. As a rookie in 2016, Edwards appeared in 16 games making 75 punts with 3,236 total punting yards, 24 attempts inside the 20, one attempt blocked, 59 yards at the longest, six landed out of bounds, and four touchbacks.
Cole Tracy hasn’t gotten a look with an NFL team in a game just yet, but he could have a chance soon, the former Assumption College transfer to LSU will be in LA for a workout. He is one of the most prolific kicker in NCAA history with 97 field goals and 502 total points.
