What's wrong with these two teams?
What’s wrong with these two teams? Jon-Michael Salter cannot understand why the Vikings and Texans are struggling so bad.

Technically it is still very early in the 2020 NFL season. With week 4 on the horizon, teams slowly start to separate themselves from others, some more surprising then a few. Through 3 weeks, there have been teams notorious for being bad as of late, and then their are the surprises. The teams that when the season started, most of us expected to be in the driver seat, or at least fighting for it, in their respective divisions. With this article, I decided to look at the two teams, that have been the biggest surprise to me. As they continue to look worse as the weeks come on.

Minnesota Vikings 0-3

I don’t care what you say, I don’t care what “expert” supposedly predicted it, no one saw the Viking’s being in this predicament. After three rough weeks, the once considered NFC elite, sit winless. Slowly watching the rival Green Bay Packers, separate from the pack, the lowly Viking’s, can’t seem to get it together. Blessed with a franchise QB in Kirk Cousins, stacked with talent across the board, with players like, RB Dalvin Cook, WR Adam Thielen, TE Kyle Rudolph, and a slew of defensive stand-outs. On paper they seem like a team that should be able to take apart an opponent any given Sunday, but can’t seem to make it happen. With that said, why is that? Honestly I have now looked at all three of Minnesota’s games, and can’t figure it out. Something just isn’t clicking. Especially this last week, when they took on the Tennessee Titans. The perfect match up, for a team looking for a win. Not to say the Titan’s aren’t a good team, but the Vikes‘ have the team, to match up across the board. I understand injuries’ have played a part, but even with, they should have been able to pull this one out. Time will tell what is in store for the winless team, but for now, this talented roster will keep us scratching our heads. What do you think is going on with the Viking’s?

Houston Texans 0-3

Speaking of talent, the Houston Texans, are loaded, and despite the record, I still believe they will get it together. Led by a real star in the making, QB Deshaun Watson, Houston has been in every game, although losing them all. In this case the reason for the Texan’s record, has more to do with schedule then their own flaws. Honestly, facing Kansas City, Baltimore, and a seemingly rejuvenated Pittsburgh Steelers, team, could have any franchise winless. Not making excuses and if the Texans want to be considered elite, they need to beat teams like these. But, at the moment they aren’t doing so. This weekend could see the Houston Texans, finding their first victory, as they take on the winless Vikings. It truly is a toss-up. but one I am personally leaning towards Houston on. One thing is for sure, both these franchise QB’s would love to have a do-over, and get the star wide-outs, they lost this last offseason.

Chime in, I would like to hear your thought’s on why Houston, isn’t getting it done up until now? Also who do you think gets their first win? Tweet me I would love to talk about it. @JonM_Salter
