Breaking: Former LSU linebacker Michael Divinity is expected to sign to the Seahawks practice squad
After going undrafted in the 2020 NFL draft, Michael Divinity signed an undrafted free agent deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was waived early this year by the Bucs. Last week he had a workout with the Indianapolis Colts, and we are learning that today, Divinity is expected to sign a contract with the Seahawks practice squad.
After missing nine games due to suspensions, his draft stock took a hit and he went undrafted.
Divinity started 11 games and played in 12 as a junior and ended the season with 54 tackles and tied for team-high honors with five sacks. He added 9.5 tackles for loss, eight quarterback hurries and helped create four turnovers (one interception, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries).
This is a great signing for the Seahawks. Divinity is a playmaker with great instincts. The Seahawks have had some injuries at linebacker.
