Predicting a Trade: Baltimore Ravens trade a 2nd round pick for Julio Jones
Could you imagine Julio Jones in Baltimore? The Baltimore Ravens are not very far away from winning the Super Bowl. The Ravens are one of the top teams in the AFC and if they could land a player like Julio Jones before the trade deadline, it could give them a huge boost.
The Falcons are not winning anything anytime soon, and the are currently operating with no GM and an interim head coach. The Falcons may want to clear some cap space and give Julio Jones a fresh start so to speak.
Could Julio Jones be a trade candidate before the November 3rd trade deadline? The Falcons’ decision to sign Jones to a three-year, $66 million extension back in September of 2019 complicates things, but could clear up a ton of space. The Falcons have done pretty well with Russell Gage and Calvin Ridley and maybe you take a 2nd round pick from the Ravens at this point .
The 31 year old wide out is dealing with injuries now, but let’s face it he would be a huge upgrade on the Ravens roster. This year Jones has 15 receptions for 213 yards and zero touchdowns, but Jones is a futuer Hall of Famer. In his career he has amassed 812 receptions for 12,338 yards and scored 57 touchdowns.
Giving Lamar Jackson a true number one and a deep threat would be significant. I think this move makes a ton of sense, and I would not be shocked if Jones is dealt by the deadline.
