Liberty Flames were an FCS team for years, and I still love watching them play on Saturday’s. I do not care that they moved up, because they still have some big time studs on their roster. One player that has been tearing it up in 2020 is Joshua Mack. Mack the 6000 running back from Rochester, New York has been pretty damn impressive.
This year Mack has been playing lights out. He has 52 rushing attempts for 337 yards rushing and 1 touchdown. The most impressive statline though is his 6.5 yards per carry. He is averaging over 100 yards per game and averaged 8 yards per carry the first two games on the season.
Last year, Mack played in all 13 games as well. He finished the season with 792 yards on 136 carriers. Mack started his career at Maine and transferred to Liberty during his sophomore year. He was a beast for Maine too. He rumbled for 2,047 yards at Maine on 383 carries. Mack was a finalist for the Walter Payton Award in 2017 which is the best player in the FCS.
Mack is from Rochester, but played high school ball at Pittsford High, which is really close to my hometown. Mack has speed, and elusiveness. Mack has NFL wrote all over him. The most impressive thing is Joshua is a Fashion Designer major. So when will we see the #WNY gear? I am ready now!
Joshua Mack is one of the most underrated running backs in the nation. The former Maine running back was a dog for the Black Bears and is tearing it up right now for Liberty. He has elusiveness and speed. He has good hands to catch a pass out the backfield. He reminds me a lot of Eric Dickerson. He is a bigger speed back with great hands, and he is from New York. Being a Western New York native myself, I am rooting for JMack to succeed. – Damond Talbot, NFL Draft Diamonds Owner
