Breaking: Las Vegas Raiders are expected to workout CB Jermaine Ponder Jr.
Rochester, New York native Jermaine Ponder Jr. is on his way to Las Vegas to work out with the Raiders.
Ponder was a small schooler from Saint Francis University (Pennsylvania). Ponder is a freakish player. He finished his career at Saint Francis with 34 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, and 2 interceptions. He would land on the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent, and make some big plays in the preseason.
Ponder has also played on the Cleveland Browns. He recently sent NFL Draft Diamonds a workout video showing us that he is still in shape. You can see that workout below.
Ponder is a 6020 cornerback that is just 25 years old. He weighs 200 plus pounds and has great footwork. The Raiders could be getting a solid addition to their practice squad if Ponder is in fact signed.
