Predicting a Trade: Eagles send a 2021 2nd round pick to the Patriots for CB Stephon Gilmore
Ok, I know you are going to question this trade, but let’s be honest the Philadelphia Eagles can still win their division. Right now, the Eagles need help at corner and Howie is not afraid to make a trade. The Patriots can trade him out of the AFC and Gilmore would continue to get paid.
The Eagles could land Stephon Gilmore whose house is apparently up for sale.
So the trade we predict is the Eagles send a 2nd round pick to the Patriots in exchange for the Patriots cornerback, who is under contract for another year after next.
The Eagles cornerbacks play is horrible right now, and this would be a smart time to strike. The Giants are struggling to win, the Cowboys lost their two quarterbacks and the Washington Football Team is rolling with Kyle Allen.
At this point, the Eagles have the salary to get it done, and I would not be surprised if the Eagles re-worked his contract. The 30 year old cornerback has 2 pass deflections and one interception on the year so far.
