Denver Broncos make a great landing spot for Washington QB Dwayne Haskins
Denver Broncos hosted Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins on a pre-draft visit his rookie year. The Broncos scouts watched Haskins in person at Ohio State’s pro day, and they have several injuries at the quarterback position.
Right now, the team loves Drew Lock I understand that, but why not bring in a guy you were high on if you can get him cheap?
Haskins and Oklahoma’s Kyler Murray were widely considered to be the two best QBs in the draft class and no one thought that Haskins would be available when they picked at 10. The Broncos went out and signed veteran quarterback Joe Flacco and wound up drafting Drew Lock in the second round.
Let’s not throw in the towel yet on Drew Lock, but we should say the same about Dwayne Haskins as well. I know there will be several teams that want to land Haskins, but I feel the Broncos would be a great fit. I mean what will Washington land for Haskins? It cannot be much at this point.
WIth the recent injuries to the Broncos, adding a player like Haskins can help you immediately. It gives you two young quarterbacks to compete. Both are solid quarterbacks but need to be groomed.
