Three men sentenced to prison for the killing of Bakersfield College football star Aaran Porter

Aaran Porter finally has some justice. The former Bakersfield College football star was stabbed to death on February 2, 2019 after a birthday party. This week, three men were sentenced for prison time for their roles in the stabbing death of Porter.

A Superior Court judge sentenced Donnie Lee Nolen to 16 years in prison, Armani Bonner to 10 years and Isaiah Starns to six years, according to court records. All three had faced murder charges but accepted plea deals in August, with Nolen pleading no contest to voluntary manslaughter and the other two to assault charges.

The three men are alleged members of the East Side Crips, according to KGet.com

While at a party, he intervened during a confrontation between a family member and an unknown person, as previously reported. Porter was stabbed multiple times in the abdomen.

Porter was just 18 years old when he lost his life. He would fight hard to stay alive but passed away after 12 days.
