Bengals rookie QB Joe Burrow feels he took major strides last week and he just wants a win

Last week against the Cleveland Browns, Joe Burrow looked smooth as ice. He was carving up the Browns defense, and threw the ball 61 times. Well he has had a few extra days to prepare for his opponent this week and the first overall pick from LSU feels he is growing.

“Think I took a big step personally in the last game. I felt super comfortable back there … we took some steps on Thursday toward the right direction.” – Burrow told The Athletic’s Paul Dehner Jr.

Burrow was dominating the Browns last week, he threw three touchdowns and had a 90.6 passer rating. He was spreading the ball around well, and like I said above he threw the ball 61 times. The Bengals will not want to rely on him like that every week, but Burrow feeling more comfortable is a very good sign.

Burrow also said they are not panicking and he wants to win.

“We’re not panicking by any means, Burrow said, according to ESPN’s Ben Baby. “But we do know we need to play better to get wins.”

Just think if the Bengals offensive line could have held up a little more? Imagine if the Bengals offensive line did not have Burrow running around like a chicken with his head cut off. If you gave Joe Burrow time, he would carve up a defense.

Burrow looked super smooth in the pocket and he burned up the clock. He was utilizing his entire play clock every snap. I think he did a great job overall, and I would not be shocked if the Bengals shock Carson Wentz and the Philadelphia Eagles this week. Both teams are struggling, but this is a game I feel the Bengals can win.

What do you think? Can Joe Burrow get his team over the hump in week 3?
