Georgia State QB Mikele Colasurdo has been diagnosed with a heart condition from COVID-19
Yesterday, Georgia State’s freshman quarterback Mikele Colasurdo posted that he has been diagnosed with a heart conidtion as a result of his COVID-19 infection.
“Today I was diagnosed with a heart condition as a result of my COVID-19 infection,” Colasurdo tweeted on Thursday. “Unfortunately, this means that I will not be able to play this football season. …I am incredibly thankful for coach Elliott and trainer Bob for providing a safe environment for us to train and practice.”
Colasurdo added he expects to be on the field for the 2021 season.
The Georgia State quarterback is just a freshman but was a three star recruit coming out of high school. These are some of the potential problems that can happen with COVID-19. GSU will open the season on September 19 against Louisiana-Lafayette.
