Jordan Cofield was turning into quite the star at Morgan State. The return man and wide out from Maryland May have been small, standing at 5080 but he was a speedy player.
Cofield was one of the best return men in the MEAC conference and this morning he passed away, after he lost control of his Motorcycle and hit a guardrail.
Police indicated Cofield was traveling at a high rate of speed when he lost control, went off the side of the roadway and struck a guardrail.
Last year as a Sophomore, Cofield saw action in 11 games, and ranked No. 2 in the MEAC in kick return average (20.4 avg). He also added 10 receptions for 105 yards (10.5 avg), including a touchdown.
Please keep the Cofield family in your prayers.
