Former Kansas Jayhawk defensive tackle Isi Holani has passed away at the age of 24
Isi Holani was a defensive tackle for the Kansas Jayhawks who loved to smile and get after the ball carrier. The Hawaii native joined the Jayhawks in 2016 after one year at Riverside Community College. Throughout his time at Kansas, Holani played in 25 games over his final three years and racked up 2 sacks and 11 tackles during his final season.
It is with heavy hearts that we inform you, that the massive defensive tackle has passed away.
Isi will be missed and yesterday, Les Miles confirmed the death with this statement.
“Myself and the Kansas Football family are saddened by the loss of one of our very own. He was a great member of our program and will always be remembered for his dedication to the Jayhawks. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. May you Rest In Peace, Isi Holani,” Kansas head coach Les Miles said.
Please keep the Holani family in your prayers during this tough time.
