5 potential landing spots for recently released S Earl Thomas

Earl Thomas
Earl Thomas going back to the Seahawks to join with Jamal Adams makes too much sense.

Earl Thomas the former standout safety of the Baltimore Ravens was released today by the team after a physical altercation during practice.

Thomas was sent home and then released a video of the incident, which probably did not sit to well with the Ravens upper staff.

Thomas was released today per Adam Schefter, and we wanted to list five teams that would be crazy not to call for his services. Now remember, Thomas can sign with any team and is not subject to waivers because he is a veteran.

1.) Back to Seattle – Yep, you heard it first. Why not? Pete Carroll knows how to deal with him, and Earl Thomas could be a huge upgrade to their safey position at this point. Imagine pairing Thomas with Jamal Adams? I mean that would be the best safety duo in the NFL.

2.) Dallas Cowboys – They signed Ha Ha Clinton Dix in the off-season and you have to admit that Earl Thomas is a much better improvement over Xaiver Woods. I like Woods as a young prospect but he can learn from two solid veterans with this move. And Earl would give the Cowboys a hometown discount.

3.) New England Patriots – Patriots lost Patrick Chung, and Earl Thomas would be an immediate upgrade. Who wouldn’t want to play for Bill Belichick. I bet you Earl Thomas’ antics would not go over too well with Bill. So this is a spot that makes sense to me.

4.) Las Vegas Raiders – The Raiders love veterans, and guys with attitude. Earl brings both. In my opinion Earl is better than Jonathan Abram. I would definitely see this move as an upgrade. Thomas to the Raiders makes too much sense.

5.) Chicago Bears – Eddie Jackson and Earl Thomas would be nasty. I am not sure if this team has the cap space, but Earl Thomas would be a pro bowler on the Bears defense. I think Earl will be signed quickly, his resume speaks for itself.
