Rising star linebacker De Welch at Mississippi High School on a ventilator after being shot by his uncle
According to the Clarion Ledger, rising star linebacker De Welch was shot by his uncle yesterday.
His uncle Frederick Nunn, 38, was charged in the incident. According to reports the uncle shot the Mississippi Football standout multiple times and put him in the hospital.
According to the report, De was taken to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, where he remains on a ventilator.
“He has a ways to go,” “When we last checked, he was responding but he’s on a ventilator. The ventilator’s not actually doing all of the work, though. It’s helping him breathe at this point.”
Here is a little clip of De blasting a kid on a kickoff return.
We ask that you please say a prayer for De Welch and his family. He needs all the prayers he can get at this point. Jesus, watch over him.
