I am majoring in Sport Management. I have not participated in any other activities on campus, although I do wish they had Wrestling at Alcorn State.

What do your teammates say is your best quality?
I would say my teammates say my best quality is how I perform on the field. I am a very quiet person and do not say much. I let my actions speak for me.

What kind of role do you see yourself in on the team? What scheme and/or position suits your skill set?
I see myself as a leader because I am very dependable on and off the field. I get the job done without saying a word and show others that they can too.

Which one of your teammates impresses you the most?
The most impressive player on my team would be Felix Harper. He is a very solid athlete while also being very humble. He comes out every week with no complaints and gets the job done. It is always great to see players with his type of character.

Describe a time in your life when you were able to overcome a struggle.
A time in my life that I was able to overcome was when I hurt my ACL in the SWAC Championship. I was devastated but I wasn’t going to allow that to stop me from achieving my dreams and being who I want to be.

If you didn’t play football, what other sport would you play?
If I weren’t able to play football, I would definitely be wrestling. I grew up wrestling from the age of 4 to all of my life through high school. I competed in national tournaments and placed well in them winning State a handful of times and winning Europeans my Senior year of high school which is a very big tournament overseas.

What is something that you are most proud of? What would you say is your biggest achievement?
I would say I am most proud of who I have become as a person. I try my best everyday to be a great Christian and be the best man I can. I would say my biggest achievement is earning a full ride scholarship to pay for my college so I can get a degree without being in debt for a long time.

Describe one of the most memorable plays of your collegiate career.
My most memorable play was playing against PVAMU, and it was very close in the middle of the game. It was 4th down and the punt team came out on the field. I ran down field as fast as I could and the returner caught the ball as I was showing up. I hit him and helped force a fumble which was picked up and returned to their 4 yard line. The next play we scored and ended up winning the game.

Do you have a favorite athlete or professional team? Is there a player that you model your game after?
I would say my favorite professional team would be the Dallas Cowboys. However, my favorite athlete is Luke Rhodes who plays for the Indianapolis Colts. He first played linebacker for them and made the transition to long snapper with the help of Coach Stelter who owns Special Teams U. I currently train with Coach Stelter who is helping me become the best snapper I have been. He coaches athletes from all over the country through all levels including NFL. His teaching methods are fantastic, and I hope to be in the NFL myself.
