Former Buffalo Bills draft pick pleads not guilty by insanity in attempted murder case
Justin Bannan, the former University of Colorado defensive tackle was selected by the Buffalo Bills in the fifth round of the 2002 NFL Draft.
Today, Bannan a 6’3, 310 pound former NFL veteran plead not guilty to an attempted murder charge from 2019. He claimed his reason of not guilty was because he is insane.
The woman he shot in the shoulder did in fact survive, but she is coming after Bannan. She worked in the building with Bannan and he claims he did not mean to shoot her, but instead he was on the run from the Russian Mafia. He even ditched his cell phone for several years because he was being tracked.
The only problem is when police arrived they found a rolled up 20 dollar bill on his person that tested positive for cocaine.
Bannan played for 11 years and had stints with the Broncos, Ravens, Rams, and Lions other than the Bills.
