UAB Football Coach is asking for prayers after one of his players Allen Merrick was shot
Allen Merrick is a freshman linebacker at the University of Alabama Birmingham. He was shot in Gadsen, Alabama this week, and his head football coach is asking that everyone keeps him in your prayers.
Merrick was a three star linebacker prospect coming out of Gadsen High where he landed player of the year honors.
You can watch the film below from Merrick who is a beast on the football field. The 6020, 230 pound mike backer lays wood. We are hoping that he recovers from the shooting. He is currently in the hospital.
“Please pray for the family of Allen Merrick, a young man who joined our UAB Football Family this season.”
“Allen was visiting home in Gadsden yesterday when he suffered a gunshot wound. He is at UAB Hospital where I’ve been with Allen’s family, but I do not have a condition I can share at this time.”
