What is your major/minor? During your collegiate experience, have you participated in any other activities or campus organizations other than football?
My major at the University of Maryland has been Family Science. My goal is to someday be in a position with behavioral therapy.

One of the organizations that I’ve been involved with is called Best Buddies. It focuses on assisting kids with special needs. I enjoy a chance to bond with the kids. We also did an annual walk around the campus

What kind of role do you see yourself in on the team? What scheme and/or position suits your skill set?
I can definitely be a leader. I was on the leadership council at UMD. I lead by example. I can command the attention of my peers. I’m also open to listen to my teammates.

I’ve played in multiple defenses and have shown the versatility to play in both 3-4 and 4-3 schemes. I can play the nose and the 2 gap, although I feel that my best fit would be as a 3-tech.

Who is the best player you have ever played against in college?
Playing in the Big Ten, I’ve seen some of the best athletes that football has to offer. Iowa’s offensive line is definitely one of the best, Wisconsin always has a solid running game, and Ohio State has some of the best playmakers in football. Temple was no slouch either.

Throughout your career, which one of your teammates has impressed you the most?
I can list so many guys here from DJ Moore, Darnell Savage and Antoine Brooks. I’ll say that Jermaine Carter has always been a guy that I’ve looked up to. I’ve seen him make some great plays playing alongside him. Jermaine and DJ are playing for the Carolina Panthers now.

Describe a time in your life when you were able to overcome a struggle.
My senior year of high school really challenged me. I was selected to attend the Under Armour All-American game, and I had recently torn my ACL. I was able to attend the game but I wasn’t able to play. I was also having problems maintaining my grades. It really took that moment to make me realize that I needed to take care of my academics. I ended up getting a solid SAT score in order to get into college. I worked my butt off, my knee started getting better and my academics were improving. It took me a while to get back on the field, but I eventually got my groove back.

If you didn’t play football, what other sport would you play?
I never got into wrestling in high school and I would have liked to have gotten into that.

What is something that you are most proud of? What would you say is your biggest achievement?
I’m excited about how I’ve been able to get myself to this point academically. I’ll be the first in my family to graduate from college.

My biggest achievement would be me starting every game my last year at Maryland in 2018.

Describe one of the most memorable plays of your collegiate career.
I had 6 tackles in 2018 against Ohio State. I remember having a 4th and one stand against them and grabbing JK Dobbins by the ankle and stopping them short.

Do you have a favorite athlete or professional team? Is there a player that you model your game after?
I’m a fan of the Washington Redskins. A lot of guys tell me I play like Jurrell Casey being shifty and able to use my power. I watch guys like him and Daron Payne.

Who is your favorite music artist? What gets you pumped before a game?
Before a game I listen to guys like G Herbo, Dave East, NBA Youngboy, Lil Durk and Polo G.

What is your favorite comfort food?
There’s a place in DC called Oohhs and Aahhs. It’s definitely worth the drive to get their fried chicken, mac n cheese, candied yams and greens.

Do you have a favorite movie or actor?
Mike Epps

What do you do in your spare time? Do you have any hobbies? Any secret talents?
I like to fish in my spare time. One thing people may not know about me is that I’ve actually competed in dance competitions since elementary school.

Who or what motivates you the most?
Being able to fulfill my dream and take care of my family is what motivates me the most.
