Illinois RB Ra’Von Bonner becomes the first college football player to opt-out the 2020 season
What is happening? College football players are now opting out of the season?
According to the Chicago Tribune, Ra’Von Bonner the running back from Illinois is opting out of the 2020 football season.
According to the report, Bonner is asthmatic, and the senior year does not want to end on his career on a truncated season. If you remember the Big Ten was the first conference out of the Power 5 who went to a conference only schedule.
This is the first player from college football to opt out of the season. We are seeing it heavily in the NFL right now, will more follow Bonner in the NCAA?
