Patrick Mahomes got paid by the Kansas City Chiefs and he will be a major part of the Kansas City for a while. He did not wait to make a big purchase after receiving his big chunk of change.
Mahomes has joined the franchise ownership group according to an announcement by the Royals.
“We are very proud and excited to have Patrick as our partner in the ownership group of this franchise,” John Sherman, who is the Royals’ chairman, CEO and principal owner, said in a statement. “Along with the rest of Kansas City, I have watched Patrick compete and become an extraordinary leader, both on and off the football field.”
The 24 year old gunslinger has a love for football. His Dad Pat Mahomes was a pitcher for Twins, Mets, and Red Sox. Mahomes released this statement.
“I’m honored to become a part owner of the Kansas City Royals,” Mahomes said in a statement from the Royals. “I love this city and the people of this great town. This opportunity allows me to deepen my roots in this community, which is something I’m excited to do.”
