University of Colorado wide receiver La’Vontae Shenault the younger brother of former Buffaloes standout Laviska Shenault was arrested this weekend on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, per Channel 9 news.
The younger Shenault is only 19 years old. He was a four star recruit from Desoto High School in Texas. He was the 29th best wide receiver in his recruiting class.
Last season as true freshman he played in four games and dressed for seven. He did not record a stat this past year.
According to the report, he was pulled over after Shenault was driving around 12:41 am in the morning with no headlights on. Shenault was booked on charges of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol and driving without headlamps at night and a driver’s license violation.
This is a misdemeanor charge, but still a bad look for the talented wide receiver.
