What is the best restaurant in your hometown city?

• I’m going with The Hudson Cafe because of their red velvet pancakes. 

When breaking down your film what will stick out?

• What will stick out is my high motor and will-power to make my way to the ball. 

If you won the lotto, what is the first thing you would do with the money?

• The first thing I would do is invest half of it in a couple companies of interest and the other half will go to my mom. 

What has been your biggest failure?

• I honestly can’t put a finger on it, I have failed at many things but the comeback and the perseverance overshadowed the momentary pitfall. 

What do your teammates say is your best quality?

• My teammates say that my best quality is my endurance, they came up with this funny title of “Mr. Don’t Get Tired”. 

Who is the hardest working teammate on your team?

• All men are equal on my team but in this case I will say Robert Corbin. Solid frame, he executes every play, does not complain, has a good work ethic and is academically proficient. 

Have you ever had a nickname? What is it?

• In high school, the upperclassmen nicknamed me “Shaka” in reference to Shaka kaSenzagkhona; the great warrior and chief of the Zulu Empire. The name stuck with me all throughout the four years. 

What is your degree in, if you do not make it as a football player, what is your dream job?

• My degree is in business with the concentration of management of information systems. When my time as a football player runs out, my dream job is to become a CIA agent.

What is your coolest life moment?

• My coolest life moment was being fortunate enough to go on the Kairos retreats in high school and being a leader for one of them.

• Chicago Bears 

If you had a warning label, what would yours say?

• “Don’t take my smile lightly” 

What is your biggest fear?

• My biggest fear is being in a car chase and the road only leads to a cliff. 

Who is the most underrated player in the NFL?

• I’m going with Darius Leonard 

Take us through game day, How do you prepare?

• Before I do anything, I must try on all of my equipment and uniform the night before game day. The morning of game day, I like to play some Black Sabbath or Future to get my blood pumping from locker room to team breakfast. After breakfast I cut off my music and just sit in front of my locker in the lotus position and pray. Once I’m done praying, I start getting dressed and then the defense meet for a brief 15 minutes then it’s time to suit up for pregame warm ups. 

Do you have any hobbies?

• I like to keep up on conspiracy theories and I’m self teaching myself to get better at playing the harmonica. 

If you had to compare yourself to someone in the NFL, who would that be?

• I would compare myself to Darius Leonard because of his keen eye for the ball and his grit. 

Who has been the biggest influence on your life and explain why?

• My mom has been the biggest influence on my life. Her unconditional love, prayers and the countless sacrifices carried me thus far in life. 

What motivates you to work hard?

• Being overlooked and doubted is what motivates me. Working hard is my only option in order to achieve my goals.  What God has in store for me will make its way to my hands.
