New York Jets are a train wreck right now, First Woody, then Jamal… What’s Next?
According to CNN, New York Jets owner Woody Johnson is under fire following allegations that he made a racist and sexist comment while serving as an ambassador to the United Kingdom.
According to ESPN, Among the allegations are that Johnson made racist comments about Black men and questioned the purpose of Black History Month. He allegedly argued that Black fathers don’t remain with their families, calling that the “real challenge.”
The crazy thing is this is not the only thing that has the Jets in the news. Last week, it was the Washington Football Team’s week, and this week it is the Jets.
This morning Jamal Adams dogged his head coach Adam Gase, in a recent article from Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News.
“I don’t feel like he’s the right leader for this organization to reach the Promised Land,” Adams said. “As a leader, what really bothers me is that he doesn’t have a relationship with everybody in the building. At the end of the day, he doesn’t address the team. If there’s a problem in the locker room, he lets another coach address the team. If we’re playing s—-y and we’re losing, he doesn’t address the entire team as a group at halftime. He’ll walk out of the locker room and let another coach handle it.”
Now, we have to look at Adams situation before you jump the gun. I mean the guy wants to be traded. He even said in his interview with Mehta, that he is showing up for his teammates, but wants to be with an organization that wants to win and do things the right way. So, he is bitter. We already knew that, but these are not light problems.
The article also shed light on Joe Douglas the brand new general manager of the Jets. It is wild, because Douglas has told Adams he is willing to trade him, and he also told him he wanted to extend him. He has lied to Adams and his camp several times, so you can see why Adams is frustrated.
Is Joe Douglas sending a message to Adams saying either you play under your rookie contract or your gone? We don’t know but it is making the Jets organization look horrible.
This article is going to push Adams out of town. With him being so bitter, he is killing what the Jets will get back in return. I think he is going to get what he wants, but if they keep him he will be a problem for the Jets. This is not getting pretty folks….
