Jets land two first round picks for Safety Jamal Adams
It is official, Jamal Adams is a Seattle Seahawk. I called this yesterday on Draft Diamonds.
The Jets did a lot better than I thought they would. Joe Douglas waited and the so-called inexperienced GM (As Adams called him) landed some amazing compensation.
Adams, 24, has made it clear he wants a contract extension this offseason, but the Jets wanted to wait as Adams is under team control for the next two seasons after the team exercised his option for 2021. Adams, a two-time Pro Bowler who was first-team All-Pro in 2019, is set to make $3.5 million this year and $9.9 million in 2021.
The star safety has already said he will only play for the Cowboys, Ravens, Texans, Chiefs, Eagles, or Seahawks and guess what? One of those teams called. The Seahawks will give Adams a new contract and land one of the best young safeties in the NFL.
