Draft Diamonds Free Agent Interview: Dondrea Tillman, DE/OLB

Dondrea Tillman
Free Agent defensive end/linebacker Dondrea Tillman recently sat down with Justin Berendzen of NFL Draft Diamonds.

Hello, I am @jrberendzen on Twitter and this is one of my free agent interviews where I ask very deserving free agents questions about the players themselves and about what a team would get in these players. All of these players should get picked up by NFL and CFL teams and get a shot at being a career football player. So I hope you all read this interview and follow Dondrea’s journey on Twitter @dondreatillman2

1.If you could live anywhere in the world where and why?

If I could live anywhere in the world I would live in the Caribbean. The area is beautiful and its always hot down there so it would be a perfect place to train as well.

2.Most interesting teammate you’ve played with and why?

Jemel Averette would be the most interesting player I’ve played with. He was a technician. One of the most athletic 3 tech i have seen in a while.

3.What is your mindset when you are on the football field?

My mindset on the football field is to dominant. I hate losing so I do everything I can to help prevent that. If my team needs a big play to happen I’m not scared to put the pressure on my shoulders and get it done.

4.If your life was a TV show what would you call it and why?

The name of my TV show would be “Believe”.  I chose believe because my whole life I’ve been a underdog and have had people doubt me. All my life I have been putting in non stop work and I have proved people wrong and I’m still going to do that. If you put in the work and you believe in yourself you can do anything you want. I want other people to see that as well so that’s why I would name it believe.

5.What is your favorite stadium that you have played in?

My favorite stadium I have played in is the Dwight Schar athletic complex in Ashland Ohio.

6.What do you hope to accomplish if you make it into the NFL?

I hope to one day play in the pro bowl. I hope to help a team make it to the super bowl. I would also like to open my own elite training gym and help kids/athletes who couldn’t pay for the other types of elite training sessions out here.

7.What do you do for fun?

Some things I like to do for fun are go on hikes, workout, play videos games, cook.

8.What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

Growing up I used to sit on the couch with my dad and watch nfl games on Sunday. From that point on I fell in love with football then I started playing. As a kid I would always tell my dad I am going to play in the NFL one day. He really inspired me.

9.What is one thing that you hope to accomplish that doesn’t involve football?

I hope to help make this world a better place. There is way more evil than good. I want to give back to my community.

10.What would a team get in a player like you?

A team would get someone who works hard and who isn’t afraid of challenges. someone who is going to compete day in and day out. They would also get a guy who is very coachable and willing to learn.

11.What is your favorite workout?

My favorite type of workout is circuit workouts. I feel like those type of workouts help me out the most.

12.What are your favorite moments from your football life?

My favorite moments from my football life would be the touchdowns I scored in college. As a defensive end you don’t really see the ball that often so when I scored I couldn’t believe it. Also playing football in the back yard with my dad is one of those as well.
