Tell us about your university/college. Did you participate in any other activities or campus organizations other than football?
Outside of football, I was Vice President for the Markets group for Georgetown’s Student Investment Fund (GUSIF). I am also the Treasurer for our Black Student Athletes Coalition (BSAC).

What do your teammates say is your best quality?
My reliability would be my best quality. On the field and off the field, they put a lot of trust in me. From helping guys with school and learning the playbook to making plays on game days, they know they can rely on me no matter what.

What kind of role do you see yourself in on the team? What scheme and/or position suits your skill set?
I see myself as the big safety who can play in the box when needed. I love playing the rover/strong safety position, but playing free safety gives me a few more opportunities to make plays in the pass game. I want to be on the side of the field where the offense runs the ball the most too. Covering kicks and punts on special teams is also one of my biggest roles on the team.

Who is the best player you have ever played against in college?
Probably Troy Pelletier the WR from Lehigh. He had a monster game when we played them my Freshman year. I still played LB then, but everyone on the field could see how good of a player he was.

Which one of your teammates impresses you the most?
It’s hard to choose just one, but I would say Joshua Tomas. He’s deceptively fast and his route running is top tier. He catches everything and he’s been one of our top receivers since he was a freshman. From what I’ve seen in practice, he hasn’t scratched his ceiling yet, and he’s got a lot more to show

Describe a time in your life when you were able to overcome a struggle.
As a freshman in high school, I was one of a few kids on my football team not chosen to compete in a 7 on 7 tournament at YSU. I thought maybe I wasn’t good enough to play and that football wasn’t for me. When camp started though, I knew I had to give them a reason to keep me on the field, and I showed out. I was the best scout team player on defense as a safety and also as a kick returner. I wasn’t as good in a t-shirt in shorts, but once we put pads on, I was able to show everyone that I was a threat.

If you didn’t play football, what other sport would you play?
I would wrestle. Wrestling is one of the sports where it’s all about heart and effort, and it taught me how to push myself past my limits. Wrestling also made me a better football player, and I think it’s a great sport if you’re not doing anything else during the Winter.

What is something that you are most proud of? What would you say is your biggest achievement?
My biggest achievement was when I bought my mom a car this past summer. Everything that I do is to give her and my younger sisters the best life possible because we struggled through a lot while I was growing up.

Describe one of the most memorable plays of your collegiate career.
My most memorable play has gotta be my interception against Lafayette my sophomore year. It was 4th and short, and I was in man coverage from the slot. They threw an inside fade, and I ripped the ball out of the receiver’s hands as he was coming down with it. I didn’t panic when my back was to the ball, and I just played through his hands. I wanted it to just be an incompletion, but the ball bounced right into my hands. That was the craziest interception that I’ve ever had.

Do you have a favorite athlete or professional team? Is there a player that you model your game after?
I’m from Pittsburgh and my favorite team is the Steelers. Troy Polamalu is one of my favorite players, but I don’t try to model my game after any one person. I like to analyze a ton of players at different positions in order to build my game.

Who is your favorite music artist? What gets you pumped before a game?
My favorite artist is old Kanye West. Before a game though I’m listening to Chief Keef, Youngboy, Meek, and any rappers from Atlanta to get me hype.

What is your favorite comfort food?
My mom’s Mac n Cheese. It’s the best you’ll find anywhere, and you’re missing out if you haven’t had it.

Do you have a favorite movie or actor?
In terms of actors, it’s a close race between Denzel Washington and Leonardo DiCaprio, but I’m going with Denzel. My favorite movie though is Django Unchained.

What do you do in your spare time? Do you have any hobbies? Any secret talents?
I’m a big anime fan, so when I have free time that’s what I’m watching. My favorite shows are Hunter x Hunter and Haikyu

Who or what motivates you the most?
My mom. She’s made countless sacrifices to put me in a position to succeed in football, school, and life in general. She’s my biggest supporter, and she motivates me to accept nothing but greatness.
