NFL could be expanding the practice squad rosters to 16 for this year

NFL practice squad
NFL practice squads were to expand from 10 to 12 players in 2020. Now, there’s internal talk about expanding to as many as 16 for greater roster flexibility for positive Covid tests, sources tell me and @judybattista. NFLPA would have to co-sign but that’s more jobs for players.

Free Agents I hope you are staying in shape!

This is what we said earlier this year. We wanted the NFL teams to add 10 more players to their roster. Then on roster cut day they can release more players. I mean this make sense, but this is actually really good because if you make the practice squad you get paid well.

in 2020, the minimum salary for a practice squad player was $8,400 per week ($142,800 for 17 weeks), and the minimum rookie salary was $610,000.

I think that is pretty darn good what do you think? Better stay in shape free agents.
