Northwestern College football player Jahbreel Rounds shot and killed
We are sad to report that a football player from Northwestern College that was shot on May 21 has died.
Jahbreel Rounds, 19, and a freshman safety for the Red Raiders football team was shot and killed in an apartment complex parking lot.
Officers responded to a shooting about 5:05 p.m. on May 21st in a Wichita Apartment Complex. Police believed that Rounds and another man Earnest Jefferson were making a drug transaction with an 18 year old female Missy Barber and Preston Reynolds when they were shot. Jefferson was killed on the scene, but Rounds was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Rounds did not play in a game last year for the Red Raiders, but the NAIA safety was hoping to make a huge impact this season.
Please keep the family of Jabreel in your prayers.
