Did the Houston Texans play roulette with DeAndre Hopkins?

DeAndre Hopkins
Deandre Hopkins the Arizona Cardinals newest wide receiver was happy to join forces with Larry Fitzgerald and recently called himself the best wide out in the game. Bill O’Brien tries to justify his trade, but will it come back to bite him?

Roulette is a casino game that has many calculated risks. Some believe the easiest way to win is playing red or black, but you can bet on single numbers as well. Some think roulette is hard, but the Houston Texans played a much more difficult game of roulette this year by trading wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins. If you like to take much more calculated risks than Bill O’Brien you need to check out live dealer roulette NJ website because you will have much better odds at winning that the Texans will without DeAndre Hopkins.

So here is my question, do you think Bill O’Brien’s gamble with DeAndre Hopkins will pay off?

DeAndre Hopkins feels he is the best wide receiver in the NFL and did not necessarily say that Bill O’Brien made a mistake by trading him, but he did claim he was the best, so….

Hopkins recently said he is the best wide receiver in the NFL. He was on the Jalen & Jacoby Show and said “I definitely think I’m the best, I know I’m the best.”

If you look at DeAndre Hopkins starting quarterbacks over the years, you would have to wonder how good he could be if he had a real quarterback all those years. He has played with Ryan Mallett, TJ Yates, Brian Hoyer, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Matt Schaub, Brandon Weeden, Brock Osweiler, Tom Savage and Case Keenum. Are you kidding me? Those are some horrendous quarterbacks. Thankfully, Hopkins was blessed with Deshaun Watson but even he missed a year with injury.

This year, the Cardinals second year quarterback will have the weight on his shoulders to produce. Kyler Murray will be the new gunslinger for DeAndre.

Hopkins has 632 catches for 8,602 yards and 54 touchdowns in his seven-year career. In the three years with Watson, Hopkins has hauled in 315 balls for 4,115 yards and scored 31 touchdowns.

Arizona swapped David Johnson and a future draft pick to the Houston Texans to bring Hopkins into the fold. This gives second-year quarterback Kyler Murray a legitimate weapon opposite Larry Fitzgerald. While many feel that the Texans were robbed, what if the trade did work out for Houston?

The crazy thing, is Bill O’Brien believes this trade will be good for them and actually defended his trade.

He recently told Willie McGinest on NFL Network “We just felt like, at that point in time, a roster move that we made was the best move for the team.” He continued saying “Personnel has to play up. We all know we’ve got to go on the field and win. And when we’re able to get back out there and play games, we’ve got to be able to prove it on the field, we all know that. “

The Texans did land Randall Cobb the former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver and Brandin Cooks via trade from the Rams.

I mean what if Cobb and Cooks turn into solid weapons for Watson. Watson has never really had multiple players who could go out and tear it up. Brandin Cooks produces everywhere he goes, and even though he has been traded a bunch he is a solid player, and young. Cobb is one of the most reliable wide outs, and if David Johnson can return to early years form, the Texans maybe okay.

At the end of the day, we know DeAndre Hopkins is going to bet on himself.  I mean if he didn’t bet on himself that would be a problem. I hope for Bill O’Brien’s sake the Texans are able to get off the schneid because they have the talent on their team to be successful. I feel they are in the easiest division in the NFL, and it is wide open right now.  While the Titans have played well, but with Ryan Tannehill getting paid now do they sink with him if he begins to play bad?  The Jaguars are in a complete rebuild and the Colts have just replaced a promising quarterback with an old man.  I think the Texans can win the division if they can get production from Cobb, Cooks and Johnson, but they are going to have to play extremely well because the minute one of them make a mistake they will be faced with the DeAndre Hopkins trade questions.

Here is my question to you though, do you think Bill O’Brien played roulette with DeAndre Hopkins? If this trade does not pan out for BOB does he lose his job? What do you think?
